Lance Donenberg
Lance Donenberg is Chief Operating Officer (US) of GLG Partners LP.
Lance is based in New York City, New York, USA. Prior to his current responsibilities, Lance was Head of Strategic Investments at Man Investments, where he was involved in the principal transactions business as well as a member of the firm’s Manager Board. Before that, he was Head of Investment Sourcing, responsible for leading the investment team in identifying new managers for Man Glenwood. He was also an Investment Committee member of Glenwood Capital Investments L.L.C.
Prior to joining Glenwood in 2006, he was a founding principal with Balyasny Asset Management (“BAM”), a multi-strategy hedge fund, where he served as Head of Business Development. His responsibilities at BAM also included the sourcing and development of senior portfolio managers and allocating proprietary capital to external fund managers. Prior to BAM, Mr. Donenberg worked at Schonfeld Securities, a proprietary trading firm, where he was a portfolio manager for an internal fund of hedge funds. His past experience also includes Deloitte Consulting and Ernst & Young. Mr. Donenberg received a BCom in Finance from the University of Witwatersrand, BCom Honors economics from University of South Africa, and an M.B.A. from the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management.
